The Dice is a substantial development in Uxbridge. It is made up of seven pavilions on the edge of a 37 acre park. With 105 exceptional apartments inspired by nature and simplicity, these pavilions command enviable views over Dowding Park, playing fields and the elegantly renovated Hillingdon House.

The Dice blocks are arranged over three and four storeys, with enclosed winter gardens which are orientated to provide year-round views over the park settings.

SWS were appointed to provide waterproofing design and installation solution to the inverted roof (podium deck) sitting above the underground carpark areas

A hot melt waterproofing solution was provided by SWS which involves priming the entire deck and building perimeter with Elastocol 500 primer prior to installing the Duoflex System to the podium deck. A protection layer – Elastophene 180-25 was then installed over the deck.

A Pitch pocket waterproofing solution was adopted for all column bases around and on the podium deck.

Along the building perimeter, Sopralene Flam Garden 250AF was installed with a protective flashing.

Finally, a drainage membrane; Newton 408 Deckdrain was installed on the deck for further protection to the waterproofing layer.

Installation was carried-out in accordance with best practice and with the manufacturer’s specifications which included a 40 year warranty
